Number Nine
Number Nine is a dynamic, two-story bar nestled in the vibrant Logan Circle neighborhood of Washington, D.C. Known for its inventive cocktails and lively atmosphere, the bar offers a welcoming space for both locals and visitors. With a mix of indoor seating and an expansive outdoor patio, Number Nine caters to a diverse crowd through creative drinks and a classy environment. Beyond its stylish ambiance, the bar is celebrated for its commitment to the LGBTQ+ community, hosting a range of events and initiatives that foster inclusivity and belonging.
Our Project
GEC conducted a sustainability strategy project for Number Nine to identify and implement environmentally friendly practices. The project involved researching sustainable tools, operations, glassware, and drink recipes. Key findings included opportunities to reduce waste through compostable or recyclable materials, energy-efficient equipment, and locally sourced and edible drink ingredients. By incorporating these sustainable practices, Number Nine can enhance its eco-friendly image, reduce operational costs, and appeal to environmentally conscious patrons.
