Headquartered in Washington, D.C., BMG has partnered with various organizations, such as JetBlue, to implement innovative programs like airport composting initiatives

Our Project

For a recent project with BMG, the primary objective was to bring coffee grounds composting to a coffee franchise in Reagan National Airport (DCA). The project focused on evaluating and organizing waste management strategies and involved activities such as data analysis and potential partner outreach. We initiated connections with potential DMV community farms to donate the coffee grounds to, increasing soil fertility. As a result, we developed a comprehensive waste management proposal to DCA, outlining the benefits and strategies of recycling coffee grounds, leading to significant improvements in BMG’s community partner network and their ESG initiatives.
